Mission

The Pennsylvania School for the Deaf educates students to succeed by recognizing and developing individual strengths, building confidence, and collaborating with families and communities in a nurturing, dynamic and language-rich environment steeped in cultural awareness of deaf, hearing and worldwide diversity.

Points Of Pride

Provides services to deaf and hard-of-hearing children ages birth through 21. Meet the needs of a range of students. Senator's school of excellence for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Admissions Policy

Students must be referred in writing by their local educational agency (LEA). After receiving a written referral, PSD will contact the family. In almost all cases, a school visit is required for assessment.
