Points Of Pride

Hackett School has a large population of children with special needs who have serious health concerns. These health issues require the reporting of serious incidents that are documented through the School District. GreatPhillySchools currently uses this data to formulate the safety rating without distinguishing between a health-related serious incident and one that is violent in nature.

We practice positive behavioral support strategies including: Power of Three school-wide behavior expectations, Class Dojo, Mind Yeti mindfulness intervention program, and Second Step social/emotional learning. We also welcome family and community involvement through our Home and School Association, Character-building assembly programs, School Advisory Council (SAC), and Friends of Hackett group.
