Mission
St. Laurentius School serves the children who are entrusted to our care by proclaiming and teaching the Catholic faith while providing a sound academic education. Utilizing a variety of resources, we provide opportunities for personal information in a safe and caring environment that meet the needs and challenges for future life-long learners.
Points Of Pride
1. Our Pre-K teachers have had extensive training in the Children's Literacy Program. - 2. We follow guidelines for curriculum from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. - 3. On a recent survey students in this program scored at or above the 92% for students of the same age.- 4. We provide a number of resources to our students and families including: family counseling, reading, math and speech services, tutoring, etc.
Admissions Policy
Pre-K (3yo): Must be 3 years old by September 1. Potty trained. Copies of birth certificate and immunization record. Siblings have preference.- - Pre-K (4yo): Must be 4 years old by September 1. Copies of birth certificate and immunization record. Siblings have preference.
Safety and Culture
We have recently installed security cameras around the perimeter of the school. Pre-K students have their own cafeteria and play area both indoors and outdoors. Children are supervised by adult volunteers and four 8th grade students.
