Our Mother of Consolation Parish School
Mission
Our Mother of Consolation Parish School is a Catholic elementary school (Pre K through Eighth Grade) serving families in Chestnut Hill and the surrounding areas in Northwest Philadelphia and nearby suburbs. With equal focus on Catholic Values and Academic Excellence, OMC is a strong, vibrant, and thriving school characterized by small class sizes, exceptional parent volunteerism, rich and balanced diversity, superb administration and faculty, and a genuinely warm and friendly family atmosphere.-Our Mother of Consolation Parish School is dedicated to the mission of educating the children of parishioners as well as others who entrust their children to our care. As an institution of Catholic education, our purpose is to teach Catholic values and to contribute to the formation of educated Christian persons who live and proclaim the message of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through a fully integrated curriculum, a qualified faculty is committed to the teaching of Catholic values that fosters the intellectual, moral, and spiritual potential of students. By maintaining a strong identity as a parish school, we create a faith-filled academic community that promotes mutual respect and social responsibility.
Points Of Pride
Our Code of Courtesy reinforces teaching the whole child how to be a responsible and caring person in addition to a good student. Our students can attend and succeed at any of the numerous private, archdiocesan, and public schools they choose to attend.
A partial list of those schools includes Mount S. Joseph's Academy, Merion Mercy Academy, LaSalle College High School, St. Joseph's Prep, Archbishop Carroll High School, Roman Catholic High School, Friends Central, Central High School, CAPA, and Girls High School, among others.
OMC is a Blue Ribbon School and Middle States Accredited. OMC is rated as a School of Distinguished Instruction. Reading and Math support is offered to students who need additional support. Athletic Teams consistently reach playoffs and post-season tournaments; a list of extracurricular activities for all grade levels. Our students also partner with our parish to provide service opportunities in the community-at-large.
Now in our 160th year serving Chestnut Hill and surrounding neighborhoods, OMC is proud of all it has accomplished. For more information, to look at a calendar of events, or to see our school video, visit our website at www.omcparish.com or our Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/OMCSTRONG
