Olney Charter High School is a melting pot of students from all over the globe. We pride ourselves on catering to the needs of our students through professionally developing our staff to provide students with the best possible learning experience. Over 95 percent of our students graduate from Olney Charter High School prepared with a post secondary plan for the military, attendance at a college or vocational school, or the workforce. Olney Charter High School leads the way with providing our students with enriching and extracurricular activity opportunities only available to the students within our school community. We boast a host of career and technical education programs, clubs, athletic programs, and even an in house childcare center, all designed to support the needs of our students. Admissions Policy

Olney Charter High School is open to all catchment students who wish to enroll so long as space allows. Olney Charter High School is open to all students who reside in the Olney catchment area. If space permits, any resident students from grades 9 to 12 residing outside of the school’s catchment boundaries are eligible for admission at Olney Charter High School. The term “resident” also includes foreign language students. A student shall be considered a resident of the catchment area in which the school is located if his/her parents or guardian reside within the boundaries established by the School District of Philadelphia for the said catchment.

The Charter School, as an LEA, welcomes the participation of parents and family members in support of student learning and recognizes that parental and familial engagement increases the opportunities for student success.	Parents Home and School Association;Parents School Advisory

Olney Charter High School has a full support staff, including six counselors, seven behavior specialists, two school psychologists, a Community and Parent Outreach office, 30 safety team members. The school provides two programs to help support struggling students: The ASPIRA Academy focuses on behavior modification and serves as a disciplinary intervention, and the Accelerated Academy is a program that works with students who are overage and under-credited. We also have more than 250 cameras throughout the school grounds (classrooms, hallways, stairwells, lunchrooms, auditorium, gymnasium, etc.). All doors are alarmed and monitored at all times. All students must go through metal detectors and place their belongings through an X-ray machine when they enter the building to ensure staff and student safety. All visitors are required to go through the same safety procedures.
