Belmont Charter Elementary School
MissionOur mission is to promote the academic, social, and emotional well-being of each child.
Points Of PrideBelmont Charter School runs an extensive Out of School Time (OST) program that operates year long to support the academic and social growth of our students. Our school also partners with many innovative education based non-profits including: The Children's Literacy Initiative, Woolly Gardens, Playworks, the Please Touch Museum, and the Philadelphia Art Museum. These partnerships are made to introduce our students to new ideas and concepts outside of the classroom. In addition, we provide social services to our families in need through our Family Support Program. This program provides housing assistance, job counseling, and case-managed social work. Our school also partners with Education Plus Health to operate an on site health clinic staffed by a nurse practitioner who provides health care to our students and their families.
Belmont Charter School is a geographic charter school and follows the School District of Philadelphia policy for neighborhood schools. Students must reside within our designated catchment area to attend.
Students living outside our catchment area are welcome to apply and will go through a lottery process to receive admission. Lottery information can be found on Apply Philly Charter.
