Mission

The following mission statement was created to encompass the values of Franklin Towne: All students enter Franklin Towne Charter High School with various backgrounds and levels of academic ability. The nurturing environment and family-like culture at Franklin Towne encourages students to discover their untapped potential, which elevates them to their highest levels of learning and achievement. In choosing from numerous, diverse, real-world electives, students build upon their foundation as lifelong learners. The growth and success of our students extends beyond the educational setting and empowers them to become responsible citizens and leaders in a rapidly changing world.

Points Of Pride

In 2014, Franklin Towne Charter High School was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Students at Franklin Towne Charter attend school consistently with a 95% daily attendance rate. In addition, students have achieved academically year after year. Our Keystone scores and participation in both Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment classes continues to rise. Lastly, in keeping with our mission of college preparation, FTCHS offers a wide array of support in helping students plan for their future including hosting multiple college and career fairs and then continues to track their performance after graduation.

Admissions Policy

Franklin Towne Charter High School is a participating member for the city wide application process for Fall 2024-2025 enrollment. Below is the anticipated timeline for the application process with Apply Philly Charter. On September 22, 2023: Apply Philly Charter Application window for Fall 2024-2025 enrollment opens. January 22, 2024: Apply Philly Charter Application window for Fall 2024-2025 enrollment closes. Application pauses until post-deadline period opens to give schools time and space to triage applications before the lottery. February 7, 2024: Apply Philly Charter Common Lottery Day. All lottery schools run their lotteries on the Apply Philly Charter platform. Please see our website for more details.
