Mission

Franklin Towne Charter High School is a college-preparatory program willing to do whatever it takes to provide a warm and encouraging family-like atmosphere for all of our students.

Points Of Pride

In 2014, Franklin Towne Charter High School was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Students at Franklin Towne Charter attend school consistently with a 95% daily attendance rate. In addition, students have achieved academically year after year. Our Keystone scores and participation in both Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment classes continues to rise. Lastly, in keeping with our mission of college preparation, FTCHS offers a wide array of support in helping students plan for their future including hosting multiple college and career fairs and then continues to track their performance after graduation.

Admissions Policy

Applicants must submit a short application either in person or online via the school website. Applications are available in both English and Spanish. A lottery is held in January if the number of applicants exceeds the number of available seats. The application deadline to be eligible for the January lottery is the last Friday in November.

FTCHS utilizes ScholarChip with student ID swipe cards for both daily attendance when students enter the school building and for classroom attendance. This allows faculty the ability to know where students are at all times and gives parents/guardians daily feedback on their student's attendance. In addition, all visitors must enter the school building via the main doors and present photo identification - all other doors are locked throughout the school day. Additionally, fire and safety drills are completed on a regular basis. Lastly, to ensure a positive environment for all students, the school employs a variety of clubs and activities including the Josten's Renaissance program and the Towne Mentor Program which pairs freshman with juniors and seniors to aid in the transition from 8th grade to high school.
