Points Of Pride

  • In the fall of 2013, Mariana Bracetti opened a newly renovated facility. The site is replete with state-of-the-art renovations from top to bottom. The campus consists of three buildings which include a K-8 facility, 9-12 facility, and shared community wellness center. 
  • MBACS was recognized in 2017 and 2018 as a top high school in the country by U.S. News & World Report
  • MBACS was recognized by the School District of Philadelphia as a Peer Leader for 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18.  
  • During the 2018-19 school year, MBACS was approved for a charter expansion which included enrolling 400 new students. 
  • MBACS has established a variety of longstanding and new community partners within the city of Philadelphia. These include but are not limited to: Summer Search, Walnut Street Theater, LULAC/LNESC, Philly Beats, Playworks, Artwell, Dancing Classrooms Philly, Move this Classroom, Eat.Right.Philly, Shalom, ADL, The Ambition Project, PMHC, Jewish Family and Children's Service of Greater Philadelphia, The Penn Musuem, The Musuem of American Revolution, La Liga del Barrio

Admissions Policy

Open to all students who live in Philadelphia. If there are more applications than available seats, a lottery will be held. The school’s enrollment policy gives priority to the following groups in this order: Sibling attending; parent is staff member, lives in Philadelphia, out-of-district PA resident
