Mission

Our mission is to provide an educational program that unleashes creativity and potential in our students, enabling them to realize their academic and professional goals, and empowering them to pursue 21st century careers. Our Vision is that upon graduation, all TECH Freire students will have a realistic and actionable post-high school plan and be prepared for their chosen next step.

Points Of Pride

TECH Freire offers a comprehensive liberal arts education through tech integration, with a special focus on real-world experiences and exposure. Tech integration is the combining of technology with traditional classroom subjects to deepen and broaden learning. Our model promotes personalized, creative, project-based learning in an environment that emphasizes the values of community, teamwork, and nonviolence.

Admissions Policy

Open to all students who live in Philadelphia. If there are more applications than available seats, a lottery will be held. Beginning with the admissions process for 2022-23 (application window September 2021 to January 2022), applicants residing anywhere in the city will be entered into the same pool for the lottery. The school's enrollment policy gives priority to the following groups in this order: Sibling attending; Sibling accepted offer; Parents have actively participated in the development of the school; Residents of the School District of Philadelphia; Out-of-district PA resident.
