Mission

Embracing faith, family, and education, we challenge each student to attain her full potential academically, spiritually, and personally. While focusing on service to God and community, Nazareth Academy High School provides a rigorous academic curriculum and varied extracurricular activities that inspire each student to achieve academic excellence and become a life-long learner in a global society.

Points Of Pride

Nazareth Academy High School is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. For the past 94 years, we have been a school that is rich in tradition, academic excellence, and the bond of sisterhood. We offer more than 80 courses, including 23 Honors and 16 AP courses, as well as a Dual Enrollment Program with Holy Family University. We have a 8 to 1 student to faculty ratio and an average class size of 15 students. Members of the Class of 2022 received over $47.4 million in college scholarships and grants and had a 100% college acceptance rate. Our students hail from Philadelphia as well as surrounding counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Admissions Policy

Nazareth Academy High School is looking for driven young ladies who excel academically and are well-rounded in their interests and activities. The formal admissions process begins in the fall of 8th grade. Nazareth believes in a holistic approach to admissions in that we use a student's application, academic transcript, teacher recommendation, High School Placement Test score, and personal interview in determining admission. Nazareth also offers academic and extracurricular scholarships to students who are applying for admission into 9th grade and who take our High School Placement Test in the fall of 8th grade. During the admissions process, students are highly encouraged to participate in our Shadow Program in which they are paired with a current Nazareth student for a day. This offers them the opportunity to meet teachers and students and experience our curriculum and college prep scheduling. Nazareth also welcomes current high school students who are interested in transferring to shadow and to apply for admission.
